When we first introduced you to Safar, he had survived the ISIS genocide and needed a fresh start.
You stepped in to help, and Safar rebuilt his life.
He paid off debts from years of refugee displacement. Started a grocery. Employed his community. And accelerated the neighborhood’s recovery from war.
But yesterday Safar’s business burned down.
As he focused on getting a group of children out safely, the shop was engulfed. An economic engine for the community, gone.
Now, Safar has lost everything. Again.
"I have no place in this world except for this shop,” he told us in the aftermath. “Now, it feels like I have nothing left in this life."
Safar needs to rebuild. The community needs him to rebuild.
There is no GoFundMe in Iraq.
But he does have us. And together, you and other HUMANITE members can help Safar build back better.
⏵ Every new membership goes toward rebuilding.
⏵ Every $100 fills a shelf in Safar’s new shop.
⏵ Every $1,000 helps him and the community scale new growth.
Will you help Safar today?
