On October 19, 2023, the church where Ramiz sheltered with dozens of others was attacked. He lost his three children, relatives, and friends.
Most would have collapsed under that grief.
Ramiz kept going.
As a leader who has worked and volunteered with numerous organizations, including HUMANITE, Gaza Youth Committee, and the Church of Saint Porphyrius, he’s spent years standing in the gap for families bringing food, clean water, hygiene support, women’s empowerment, and childcare, even in the most dangerous moments.
Now Gaza is starving.
Food is almost gone.
